Located on Plaça Cívica in the Campus of the UAB, Information Point provides exhaustive information on frequent questions related to the UAB, its administrative institutions and its activities: studies, academic information, rights and obligations, cultural, social, volunteering activities, etc. It also provides information about the university world in general: other Catalan, Spanish and foreign universities.
This is the university community information service. Its aim is to clarify doubts and orientate students on where to go and how to deal with administrative issues at the UAB.
It also communicates students’ suggestions and complaints to the general administrative offices that solve possible problems and inform the student afterwards.

Any registered student can ask for a Student ID (a photograph is required) which allows students to enjoy some special benefits within the Bellaterra Campus and the University: library service, special courses registration, participation in a numerous cultural and sport events, as well as multiple discounts on lots of activities and services.
The library service consists of eight libraries located on the campus, as well as four more placed in several hospital teaching departments. In total the University offers more than 700,000 books and almost thirty nine thousand publications. There are 4,100 reading points.
From September 2004, the UAB offers the possibility for students to take a basic test on computer tools. The test is useful as a self-evaluation system based on the ECDL certificated standards. Those students, who achieve the required level, can obtain an ECDL Certificate after passing an exam. Those, who don’t pass the exam, can take computer courses at the UAB. Catalan Language Office
This is the UAB service in charge of non-Catalan students´ integration as well as of promoting the use and quality of the Catalan language, according to the language agreements reached by the governmental entities at the UAB.

This is a service offered by the UAB to provide an additional language support to the university community and to promote linguistic and cultural diversity.
The service offers the opportunity to learn, or perfect seven languages (German, English, Catalan, Spanish, French, Italian and Japanese) and to improve communication skills in academic and professional fields. Making a presentation, giving opinions, writing reports, preparing a CV and preparing for a job interview are just some of the options available. The Service also offers a programme of cultural and linguistic support for mobile students and all other newcomers who are spending time at our university.

Users of the service can choose the study method that best adapts to their needs: attendance-based courses, if regular class attendance is desired; semi-distance learning, if flexibility and independence are important and e-learning for maximum freedom of learning. The Service also offers resources for self-study, which allows the users to fix their own learning goals with the support of a tutor.
Most of the courses on are eligible for free-choice credits and successful students are awarded certificates by the Language Service.
The Service also awards 90 grants annually which amount to a 50% reduction in the course fee.

SAF, the Physical Activity Service has been responsible for the UAB Sport Infrastructures since 1985-1986. SAF coordinates most of the sport activities on offer in the university and strives to improve the quality of students’ life by offering the opportunity to do monitored physic activities (more than 100 per week), individual programs and even high-level competitions.
Some SAF programs also include the UAB academic credits (related to sport and heath contents), tutors, and a sport healthcare centre - UME.
Cultura en Viu or Living Culture is a common name for the UAB Art and Culture Centre that serves as an institution for cultural promotion. Its aims are: promotion of internal university artistic and cultural activities, artistic training and development support for students or other university community members.
Cultura en Viu provides courses, seminars and different activities related to different artistic areas such as dancing, poetry, music, theatre, club cinema, human castles, etc. It also organizes shows and concerts inside and outside the UAB campus. Some courses are included in the UAB academic credits.
