Internship Professional Program

Master and postgraduate students have the possibility of enhancing their learning by taking internships in companies and institutions (town halls, commerce offices) and by participating in specific company´s projects. 
The aim of the Professional Program is to coordinate the relationship between the University and the company in three strategic approaches:

  • Training
  • Employment
  • Innovation

While offering competitive solutions
and promoting new cooperation formulae

That’s why our training plan, besides providing a high quality teaching, offers the maximum number of practical contents with the final goal of making it possible for the students to learn from reality, to easily enter the labour market, and to be able to get relevant management positions in future.

We know that complicity with the labour market is essential. Consequently, we offer our students the opportunity to contact the business reality by providing internships with a high-level of final hiring percentage; scholarship programs or monitored labour world pre-entrance programs (see the Scholarship section)
All these programs are complemented with the academic training that students get at University through different possible alternatives. One of them is a 30-hour Management Abilities Specialization Course subsided by a company that represents an interesting extra value to an internship.

The training connected to the business reality facilitates the fact of having skilled students, not only as for their aptitudes but also as for their attitudes, something essential when making efficient business decisions to reach company´s management objectives.

Nowadays this training as well as this strategic business approach becomes essential in a market environment characterised by a complex demand evolution at the global scale caused by an increasing competence and constant introduction of new technologies. All these facts have caused deep changes that need to be successfully confronted in order to make it possible for the company management to be constantly market-aligned.
Companies need a solid and updated knowledge of their consumers, competitors, retailers and products. Consequently, by coordinating in-company training and learning, we help to achieve this goal.

Students who take part in this program have the possibility to enhance their training through companies´ or institutions´ internships and also to receive an economic subsidy. Internships, despite being a general and common practice, always depend on a company´s availability as well as on a student´s skills.
The Internship Program collaborates by a large amount of agreements with companies and institutions. The aim is to provide students with a possibility to take internships. These agreements make it possible for students to get professional experience and for the companies and institutions to get a wide range of potential employees with a profound and updated training

Duration
The Internship Program´s duration reaches a period equivalent to the duration of the course. This time finishes when a student is evaluated at the end of the course.

Tutoring:
Students have a tutor in the company and another one in the University. Both ensure that the professional program is well developed.

Collaborating Agreements:
The internship program is possible thanks to mutual collaboration agreements, signed by the company, the student and the University.
