When you arrive in Barcelona
1. Registration
To formalize your enrollment program (master’s, etc.). you must go to training (Graduate School [Link to How to get] plant -1). Check the website of the Graduate School to learn what you need.
2. Processing residence
Once granted the visa, if you are planning to stay in Spain more than three months must apply for student card (residence permit for one year) in the first 30 days of arrival any EU country. In the case where students come for one semester (6 months) must apply for a visa for six months and therefore do not need to Place student card.
Each student card will be issued for an academic year and will be renewed before it expires.
For the student card for the first time, we must take the International Welcome Point (IWP) the following documents:
- passport (original and copy)
- photocopy of visa
- Copy of entry stamp
- Proof of Registration (application and proof of payment)
Important: If you enter Spain without a visa or tourist visa will not be able to get the student card at all.
3. Open bank account
Can open a bank account in the UAB (Autonomous University of Barcelona) as financial institutions are on campus.
